Wish to visit Dharmasthala to pray to Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy

Our volunteers came across with a 12 years old young and active boy suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease at Vani Vilas Children hospital. He lives with his parents and a younger brother in one remote village of Magadi Taluk.
Make A Wish Volunteers met this kid when he was undergoing dialysis, they gave him a story book of Bhagat Singh and started talking with him about his interests and hobbies. He told them that he is akin to Play cricket, badminton and Kho-kho. He got Regional level kabaddi match shield by won the Regional level Kabaddi match. He liked  the movie “Shri Manjunatha” and he watched 6 times and having  faith in the god. Whenever he feels depressed and he was in pain because of the dialysis, he will just pray this god. When our volunteers started interacting with him about his wish, he said that his innermost wish to do Darshan of Shri Kshetra Manjunatha Swamy at Dharmasthala. But because of his treatment expenses, his parents were not able to take him to that place.
So, on the special day of 28th Jan 2013, our volunteers planned for fulfilling his travel wish. He didn’t knew about where he is going, and they reached Dharmasthala on 29th morning where there is no end for his happiness. From their first they visited Nethravathi river to take Sacred Bath(Punya Snana). He took bath in the river and feed the fishes with food items. Then they reached the temple and got direct entry to do Darshan of his favorite god Shri Manjunatha Swamy. And then all of them had prasdam and lunch in the temple itself. In addition to this, they had been to see Gommateshwar on the top of the hill and took beautiful snap with his family members.
At the end of the sightseeing again they pray the god and get into the bus. And his parents expressed that we have never seen our son, with this much of happiness in his face since a long time.  They thanked all our volunteers and said that they prayed with god for our volunteers to give strength for fulfilling many more kids wishes in future.
